Support the Project!
See What's in it for Me? for details about how various people and groups can benefit from our programs - this Project is designed to benefit every American.
Book Donations
This is an easy way to help. You donate History, Nature or Travel books to our Heritage Bookstore. We sell them to fund the project, and put you on our mailing list, so you can order from our inventory at a discount. See the Book Drive Form for more information
Cash Donations
We need your help to roll out the Project! With just $1,000 per County, we can fund nationwide development and operating expenses for several years. County financial support helps determine our staff priorities, and helps us qualify for other grants. So your donation in the name of a favorite County is critical to getting your county online!
Individuals donating $150 or more may request the latest version of the National Heritage Database on CD.
Donate by credit card, PayPal, or with a personal or corporate check, payable to The American Guides Project:

Volunteer County Researcher/Writer/Editor
Local volunteers, from students to retirees, play an essential role in any County Heritage Guide. If you have any interest in local history, culture, or the local environment, you'll enjoy being part of our Project. Volunteer work can be very flexible; each assignment varies in subject, complexity and amount of time required. Of course , the early volunteers for a county will have the most choices.
We also need help on a national level, as a "virtual volunteer," filling a number of typical, and some atypical, non-profit roles, including board members and Project editors. We welcome innovation and bright ideas for using technology to fulfill our mission.
See Volunteersfor more details. To express your interest, please contact your County Partner, or email the Project staff.

Contribute links and referrals
If none of the above fit your situation, we still need links from your personal, business or institutional web site. A mention in your local newspaper, newsletters, or other media. Talk about the Project in your blog, Myspace or Facebook, and any other web forum in which you are participating. Tell your friend about us!
Thank you for your kind support!
